IP conflict , PS3 Cannot connect to the router with current IP information.
Solution: Ok, we have heard a few theories on fixing this one. Different methods seem to work for some but not others. Here’s what you might want to try:
- Try rebooting your router.
- The WEP security settings on your PS3 may have been deleted and so the PS3 cannot connect to the Router anymore. Check that the WEP code is still setup on your PS3 in “Network Settings”. You can also test this one out by turning off WEP security on your Router. Once it is turned off you should connect straight away if the WEP code is the problem. To turn off the WEP code you will need to go to the Routers control panel. To do this type the ip address of your router in the address bar of your PC web browser (usually something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2). You can also just connect your Router to the PS3 with the Ethernet cable but you will then have to setup your PS3 network settings to a “wired” connection.
- Connect your PS3 to the Router through DMZ
